Earlier, the SRH made one alteration to their lineup after being assigned to bat first. Washington Sundar was named to the eleven. SRH got off to a good start with the bat, reaching 22-0 before Mohammad Shami rocked the stumps in the third over, dismissing SRH captain Kane Williamson.
In the same over, Rahul Tripathi hit a six and two fours, but Shami trapped him LBW. SRH were 53-2 after 6 overs after opener Abhishek Sharma smashed two fours.
