Khawaja's second ton of the Test
On Day 4 of 4th Test, Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green put on a massive 179-run stand to deflate England.
Usman Khawaja boosted his comeback with his second century of the match after a clinical 137 in the first innings. In the fourth Ashes Test in Sydney, his 101 not out from 138 balls has put Australia in a strong position to chase down another victory over a tired England.
His commanding 179-run partnership with youngster Cameron Green set up a late statement, establishing a lofty goal of 388 runs for a weary England.
England, who lost the Ashes in just 12 days and have failed to reach 300 runs in the series, will be hoping to prevent Australia from going 4-0 up on Sunday, 9th January. In 140 years of Ashes cricket at the SCG, Khawaja became the third Australian player to score twin centuries, and the sixth in a Test match.
"I always wanted to score a century in both innings in first-class cricket and have never done it, but it's just a nice one to tick off," Khawaja told reporters.
