Ross Taylor announced his retirement from international cricket
New Zealand batter Ross Taylor announced his retirement from international cricket today, 30th December, at the end of the ongoing domestic season.
However, Taylor will play in the 2-nd Test against Bangladesh. During his career Taylor has scored 7584 Test runs with 19 centuries, second only to incumbent captain Kane Williamson, and 8581 runs in ODIs, ahead of former skipper Stephen Fleming (8007). His 21 ODI centuries also are a New Zealand record.
“It’s been an amazing journey and I feel incredibly fortunate to have represented my country for as long as I have,” Taylor said in a statement today, 30th December, 2021.
