Faf Du Plessis: "It's better to play with Virat Kohli than against him." Describes Why

     In the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season, Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli have been two of Royal Challengers Bangalore's most reliable players. The pair has been each other's rock off the pitch in addition to complementing one another with the bat. Faf du Plesiss, the captain of the RCB, spoke candidly about his admiration for Virat Kohli in an exclusive interview with NDTV. He spoke about both Kohli's abilities as a player and his character off the pitch.

     "Virat is most notable for his passion. Playing Virat is something I've always admired. With his level of dedication, he would play 10-on-10 for each wicket if it were to fall. I'm curious as to how this guy can remain fired up even as player No. 11 leaves the game. I was astounded by the intensity with which he plays the game of cricket. Now that I play with him on the same squad, I can assure you that it is preferable to play with him than against him," Du Plessis stated in the conversation. 

Overview 

     Du Plessis stated that he would always like to play alongside Kohli rather than against him because of the latter's ability to motivate players on the other team. That same passion might occasionally motivate you while you are playing against him. I've experienced that from the other side. 

     Playing with Virat, however, is such a wonderful thing. His enthusiasm is so contagious that you can't help but feel it. It also inspires you to always put up your best effort, according to Du Plessis.

     In the IPL 2023 season, Du Plessis currently leads all scorers with 631 runs in 12 games at an average of 57.36 and a strike rate of 154.27.
