IND vs AUS: Another India star is likely to miss the Delhi Test after Jaydev Unadkat
About
In the opening game of the series in Nagpur on Saturday, Team India easily defeated Australia by an innings and 132 runs to take the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Australia, who won the toss and chose to bat first, was dismissed for 177 in the first innings, and India quickly took control of the situation. In reply, India piled up an astounding 400 before dismissing the visitors for 91 in the second innings.
What they said
Team India has made a significant roster move as the action shifts to New Delhi, releasing Jaydev Unadkat to play for Saurashtra in the Ranji finals. There is a good probability that India won't have the services of a second member of the squad for the second test, which is set for Friday.
India's Shreyas Iyer is still at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bengaluru, recovering from a back injury, according to a report in PTI. Iyer was taken to the NCA for a fitness test after the same injury held him out of the New Zealand ODIs.
Overview
Iyer had posted a few videos of himself working out at the NCA while being watched by coach S. Rajnikanth. The batter is now going through his strength and conditioning exercises, but it's customary to play at least one domestic league game before returning to play in international matches.
Iyer, who has been sidelined for a month, might not be added to the Test squad right away.
