Match Review

     On Thursday, August 25, at the Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester, South Africa and England played in the 2nd Test, day 1 match of the South Africa tour of England, 2022. 

     Elgar chose to bat in the first session in the hopes that his team would take advantage of the favourable batting conditions. However, as it turned out, England bowlers ruled the first session as a result of movement on and off the field, sending their top five packing.

     Although England had the stronger batting conditions, the visitors' lack of restraint allowed them to score freely, and now that they had 20 extras, the deficit appears to be incredibly little.
