BCCI Announces Dates for Upcoming Three IPL Seasons
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed the dates for the 2025 IPL season, and the following two seasons, which marks a change from their usual last-minute announcements. Starting from March 14 and running until May 25, the 2025 season is particularly noteworthy. The schedules of the following seasons have also been shared with the franchises.
In addition to the schedule announcements, the BCCI has confirmed the availability of Jofra Archer for the full series, and potentially the next three seasons. Despite not responding to inquiries from Cricbuzz, Archer, a high-impact player, has put his name down for the advanced auction process at the top INR 2 crore bracket. Alongside him, Saurabh Netravalkar and Hardik Tamore have also been added to the register.
Another announcement made by the BCCI is the list of bowlers potentially facing bans for suspect action. Notably, Deepak Hooda, an off-spinner from the Rajasthan Cricket Association, is on this list, along with Manish Pandey and Shrijith Krishnan who have been banned from bowling, and Saurabh Dubey and KC Cariappa who are also potentially facing bans.
