After RCB's painful exit from the IPL 2023, Virat Kohli writes a heartfelt letter.

About

Royal Challengers Bangalore player Virat Kohli wrote a moving statement for himself and the team's fans after learning that the team's IPL 2023 league phase campaign has come to a conclusion. Gujarat Titans had to be defeated for RCB to go to the playoffs, however, they lost by a score of six wickets on Sunday and were eliminated from the match. With a century in the game, Kohli was naturally sad to see his huge dream of winning the IPL crown fall short once more.

What they said

"A season that had its high points, but sadly we fell short of the mark. Although disappointed, we must maintain our composure. We are appreciative of your support at every turn, dear followers. Thank you so much to the management, coaches, and my teammates." Virat stated on Instagram, "Our goal is to come back stronger."

Overview

In terms of his personal life, Kohli found the 16th IPL to be a success. Virat hit 101 in just 61 balls in the game against the defending champions, GT. He scored one six and 13 fours throughout his knock.

He scored 639 runs in 14 games in the IPL 2023, averaging 53.25 and having a strike rate of 139. In this season, he had two centuries, six fifties, and a top score of 101. He finished the season as the third-highest run scorer in the competition, behind only Faf du Plessis and Shubman Gill.

Virat has eight hundreds in T20 cricket, including one for India in international play and seven for RCB. In 374 T20 appearances, he has amassed 11,965 runs, which is a strong total.
