     For their first victory of the year, Chennai Super Kings defeated Lucknow Super Giants by a margin of 12 runs. As CSK amassed a dominant 217 for 7 after being put into bat, Ruturaj Gaikwad blasted his second consecutive fifty and shared 110 runs for the first wicket with Devon Conway (47 off 29). 

     After scoring 92 in the first game, Gaikwad hammered 57 off 31 with three fours and four sixes to start the innings. He had strong backing from Conway, who hit five boundaries and two shots over the fence.
