     On Friday, December 30, at the National Stadium, Karachi, Pakistan and New Zealand played in the 1st Test, Day 5 match of the New Zealand tour of Pakistan, 2022-23. 

     Due to poor lighting on Day 5 in Karachi, the first Test of the two-match series between Pakistan and New Zealand ended in a tie. Before the game was called off, New Zealand was 61/1 in their attempt to reach the target while Tom Latham (35) and Devon Conway (18) were both undefeated.
