     On Wednesday, December 28, at the National Stadium, Karachi, Pakistan and New Zealand played in the 1st Test, Day 3 match of the New Zealand tour of Pakistan, 2022-23. 

     In the ongoing first Test match between New Zealand and Pakistan, Kane Williamson achieved his 25th Test century to give his team a two-run advantage. On Day 3, New Zealand had a 2-run lead against Pakistan at stumps. 

     Devon Conway and Tom Latham had both abruptly left New Zealand, but Williamson kept the guests' ship afloat. While Latham hit 113 before being bowled by another Pakistani spinner, Abrar Ahmed, Conway missed his century by 8 runs after being out LBW by Nauman Ali. 

     Mitchell was defeated by Abrar Ahmed, while Henry Nicholls was a victim of Nauman Ali. Thanks to Babar Azam's 161 runs and Agha Salman's 103-run performance, Pakistan had scored 438 runs in their first innings.
