Match Review

On Saturday, August 27, at the Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester, South Africa and England played in the 2nd Test, day 3 match of the South Africa tour of England, 2022.

England has made an excellent comeback. After the Lord's innings loss, they were battered and bruised, all of which, one would expect, should have been settled by now courtesy to skipper Stokes, who took the initiative with both bat and ball.

Van der Dussen and Petersen engaged in a resolute stand to prevent England from taking a wicket in the second session after quickly taking three wickets in the first. But Stokes always struck right after tea, and once they formed a partnership, it was only a question of time. And once the new ball was delivered, Anderson and Robinson completely destroyed the opposition with some excellent swing bowling, as was seen during the game's first session.
