Chris Morris retires from all forms of cricket
Today, on January 11, 2022, a 34-year-old South African all-rounder Chris Morris announced his retirement from all forms of cricket and is set to take up a coaching role.

Morris, who last played for South Africa in the 2019 World Cup, took 48 and 34 wickets in four Tests, 42 One-Day Internationals, and 23 Twenty-20 Internationals. He scored 467 runs in ODIs and 133 runs in T20Is.
Chris Morris also played for IPL franchises Morris played for Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings.
Morris happened to be the biggest beneficiary among South African cricketers in the IPL when Chennai Super Kings bought him for Rs 3.32 crore in the 2013 players' auction. At the IPL 2021 auction, he was signed by Rajasthan for INR 16.25 crore.
Chris had a brilliant career in the shortest format of the game. He took 290 wkts in 234 T20s and scored 1868 runs at a strike rate just over 150.
