Jasprit Bumrah and Shreyas Iyer are most likely to join the Indian team for the 2023 Asia Cup

     India's star batter Shreyas Iyer and ace bowler Jasprit Bumrah want to make their comebacks in the team for the Asia Cup 2023. Due to a back issue, Bumrah has been sidelined since September 2022 and was unable to participate in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in Australia. Due to a back issue, he has been noticeably sidelined for the past eight to nine months. Bumrah had a lower back operation in New Zealand in April. Successful medical treatment allowed Bumrah to be pain-free. He also missed the 2023 season of the Indian Premier League.

His lower back's protruding disc was a regular source of discomfort for him. He was forced to withdraw from the last Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in March in Ahmedabad as a result. Later, in May, he had surgery in London. He was told to relax, and his rehabilitation is still ongoing. He also missed the ODI series against the Aussies.

Both players should be available for the Asia Cup in September, according to the NCA medical staff.
