Sanjay Manjrekar praises the seasoned batter, saying, "India Is Not Ready For Life After..." Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma aren't involved.

About

The eagerly anticipated World Test Championship final between Team India and Australia will begin on June 7 at The Oval. Both teams will play their hardest during the major event in an effort to win the prized ICC trophy. With players like Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja, and others, the Rohit Sharma-led team is challenging to beat. The senior batter, Cheteshwar Pujara, who is returning after a good term at the county, will undoubtedly be the guy attracting all the attention.

Pujara was playing for Sussex in county cricket in England at the same time that the majority of the Indian team was participating in the Indian Premier League. With 545 runs scored in eight innings at an average of over 68, three centuries, and a fifty, he now holds the record for most runs scored in Division Two of the Championship.

What he said

Sanjay Manjrekar, a former Indian hitter, referred to Pujara as the "most dependable" player in the Indian batting order for the WTC final when discussing his performance.

"Whether India was planning a tour of England or not, he has always played county cricket. because T20 cricket is now being played in India. We witnessed how life could be without Pujara after he was dropped last year, and it wasn't so great." According to Manjrekar, Pujara is currently the Indian team's most reliable player.

"Since he returned, I'm willing to concede that India is not yet prepared for life without Pujara. They still require him," Manjrekar stated.

Overview

Pujara performed admirably for Sussex the year before. In eight championship games last season, he amassed 1,094 runs at an average of 109.40. Last year, he recorded five half-centuries, with a top mark of 231.

He finished behind Sam Northeast (1,189 for Glamorgan), Haseeb Hameed (1,235 for Nottinghamshire), and Wayne Madsen (1,273 for Derbyshire) as the division's fourth-highest run scorer. The WTC final between India and Australia will begin on June 7 at The Oval.
