Gujarat Titans IPL 2022 squad after mega auction
Gujarat Titans purchased a total of 21 players at the IPL 2022 auction. Mohammed Shami, Jason Roy, and Lockie Ferguson were among the major players selected by the squad at the auction. At Rs. 10 crores, Lockie Ferguson was the team's first choice in the IPL 2022 auction.
Gujarat Titans had a salary budget of Rs. 52 crores when they entered the IPL auction in 2021. Hardik Pandya,Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill were the three draft picks in the team's initial lineup. Shubman Gill was signed for Rs. 8 crores, while Pandya and Khan were given Rs. 15 crores apiece.
CVC Capitals owns Gujarat Titans, one of the two new clubs in the IPL 2022. After bidding more over Rs. 5000 crores, the group was awarded the team's rights.
In IPL 2022, Hardik Pandya will lead the squad as captain. Former South African cricketer Gary Kirsten has been named as the team's batting coach and mentor. As the bowling coach, Ashish Nehra has been hired. Former England cricketer Vikram Solanki has been named 'Director of Cricket.'
