Match Review
On Monday, August 22, at the Harare Sports Club, Harare, India and Zimbabwe played in the 3rd ODI match of the India tour of Zimbabwe, 2022.
Despite an amazing fightback from Raza, India wins the match and hands Zimbabwe a 3-0 series loss. India decided to bat instead of fielding in the decisive game, scoring 289 runs owing to a fine century from Gill, who added 140 runs to a 140-run partnership with Ishan Kishan. Sean Williams quickly scored by hitting a string of boundaries, but Axar Patel's first over ended his innings.
Zimbabwe was in the lead with 17 needed off the final two overs, but Gill bowled a gem at long-on to finish Raza's innings, which proved to be the game-ending punch. In the end, Avesh Khan delivered a superb yorker to complete the proceedings as India managed a 13-run victory.
