Australia won the Ashes with 4-0
Australia's seamers ripped through England to win the 5th and final Test by 146 runs in three days in Hobart, putting the Ashes 4-0 out of reach.
Despite Mark Wood's heroic efforts to keep his side in the game with a magnificent six-wicket haul to bowl Australia out for 155 and limit England's aim to 271, the tourists were found wanting, losing 10 wickets for 56 runs in 22.5 overs.
Rory Burns and Zak Crawley got off to a good start, but after Cameron Green dismissed Burns on the stroke of tea, they crumbled and were dismissed for 124. Green concluded with 3 for 21, including the wickets of Crawley and Dawid Malan, while Scott Boland and Pat Cummins each got three wickets.
Let’s dig into stats here: Australia 303 (Head 101, Green 74) and 155 (Carey 48, Wood 6-37) beat England 188 (Cummins 4-45) and 124 (Boland 3-18, Green 3-21, Cummins 3-42) by 146 runs
