Cricket Records: Highest ODI Scores and More

An extraordinary innings from Travis Head in the first one-day international at Trent Bridge was, indeed, the highest ODI score by an Australian against England in England, surpassing Shane Watson's 143 in Southampton in 2013. However, the record for the highest score for Australia in all ODIs in England goes to David Warner who scored 166 against Bangladesh during the 2019 World Cup.

Another striking feat was performed by Marnus Labuschagne in the first ODI against England - scoring 50 runs, taking three wickets and finishing with four catches. This has been matched only by Australia's Greg Matthews in 1986 and South Africa's Jacques Kallis in 1999 in the same ODI.

In T20 cricket, Roshon Primus bowled an over lasting 13 balls, very close to the 14-ball record held by Thinley Jamtsho of Bhutan and Luwsanzundui Erdenebulgan of Mongolia. However, it's worth noting that our records data covers approximately 63% of all T20 matches.

And though Ravichandran Ashwin has scored six Test centuries, only four of them were from No. 8 or lower – two of his centuries were actually scored at position No. 6.
