Ravindra Jadeja & R. Ashwin got to the top of Test Rankings

Ravichandran Ashwin has climbed to second place in the International Cricket Council's (ICC) Test all-rounder rankings. With West Indies' Jason Holder dropping to third, he and Ravindra Jadeja are the highest-ranked Test all-rounders.

Holder's reign as the best all-rounder had come to an end with Jadeja's ascension to the top of the all-rounder rankings. In February 2021, the former West Indies captain had risen to the top of the rankings. Meanwhile, Ashwin had climbed to third place in the standings.

Kyle Mayers' success in Grenada during the West Indies' just finished three-Test series against England has propelled him to No. 11 in the world rankings.

In the new ICC Test rankings revealed on Wednesday, India captain Rohit Sharma and senior batter Virat Kohli both dropped a rung to 8th and 10th, respectively.

Rohit, who remained the top-ranked Indian on the hitters' rankings, dropped to eighth place. He has 754 rating points, while Kohli, who has 742 rating points, has slipped to tenth place.

In the bowlers' rankings, Ashwin and speed spearhead Jasprit Bumrah maintained their second and fourth positions, respectively.

Kohli stayed in second place in the ODI standings, while Rohit moved up to fourth. Bumrah, the lone Indian among the top ten bowlers, remained in sixth place.
