     On Monday, May 1, at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow, Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore played in the 43rd match of the Indian Premier League 2023. 

     After a terrible start, Lucknow lost their top five wickets in just seven overs. Despite some effort from Krishnappa Gowtham, LSG was bowled out for 108 in 19.5 overs and went on to lose the match by 18 runs. Earlier, while LSG managed to restrict at 126/9 in 20 overs, Amit Mishra, Ravi Bishnoi, and Naveen-ul-Haq each took two wickets while Naveen-ul-Haq took three.  

     With a contribution of 44(40), Faf du Plessis reclaimed the Orange Cap. KL Rahul's limping off the pitch in the second over gave LSG a serious injury worry. The event occurred when the Lucknow captain pursued a ball that was heading for the cover barrier.
