India vs West Indies, 3rd ODI: India won by 96 runs
With yet another victory, India achieved a clean sweep of the ODI series despite early struggles from a top-order collapse. Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer rescued India from a 42-run deficit, Washington Sundar and Deepak Chahar added late runs, and the spinners thrashed the West Indies to deny them a single 200-run total in the series.
Apart from yet another middle-order comeback, there was another pleasant result for the team management in terms of team-building: Kuldeep Yadav, who bowled with zip and grabbed two wickets in his first international since last July, when he was part of a second-string squad sent to Sri Lanka, returned.
In the series, all 3 pitches have proven difficult. The increased bounce and dual-speed provided by this wicket kept the tall West Indian bowlers in contention. Not only did India make a number of alterations to their XI, but they also decided to bat first in the twilight to test themselves in the probable misty circumstances.
