Match Review 

     On Wednesday, December 7, at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka, India and Bangladesh played in the 2nd ODI match of the India tour of Bangladesh, 2022.

     Bangladesh trounced India by five runs in the second One-Day International to grab a commanding 2-0 series lead. Mehidy Hasan Miraz (100 not out), who chose to bat, blasted his first ODI century and joined forces with Mahmudullah Riyadh (77) to add 148 runs, helping Bangladesh, which had been reduced to 69 for six in 19 overs, reach a daunting total. 

     For India, Mohammed Siraj (2/73) and Umran Malik (2/58) each claimed two wickets, with Washington Sundar (3/37) having the most success. Axar Patel hit a run-a-ball 56 and Shreyas Iyer made 82 as India was held to 266 for 9 in 50 overs, falling short of their target. 

     Rohit Sharma, the captain, was still undefeated after 51 balls after splitting his webbing while fielding. Shakib Al Hasan (2/39) and Miraz (2/46) each took two wickets, while Ebadot Hossain (3/45) grabbed three.
