     On Saturday, September 3, at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka played in the Super four match of the Asia Cup, 2022.

     Sri Lanka wins this first Super Four match with a fantastic chase. They appeared to be facing an extremely difficult target, yet they never allowed the rate to grow out of control.

     Before Rajapaksa hit the game-winning pitch, Kusal Mendis, Gunathalika, and Nissanka all made contributions to their powerplay success. Wow, what a cameo. It cost Afghanistan dearly since their bowlers had a bad day, especially Rashid Khan, who went for 39 runs in his four overs, in their final five overs of batting.

     On a slow pitch, they appeared to have the tools to defend, but they struggled to execute and also missed some opportunities.
