Australia announced squad for Sri Lanka T20Is
The Aussies have named their squad for the following five-match Twenty20 International series against Sri Lanka. The commencement date for the T20I series is February 11th, 2022.
David Warner is going to miss the series, while wicketkeeper Ben McDermott has been added to the squad. After a thrilling run in the Big Bash League (BBL) with the willow in hand, McDermott has been called up to the team; he scored 577 runs throughout the event, with a strike rate of more than 150.
Travis Head, Jhye Richardson, Moises Henriques - all have made a return to the Australian squad for the limited-overs against Sri Lanka.
Justin Langer will also miss the series, due to busy preparations for Pakistan tour in March. The Aussies will play 3 Tests, 3 ODIs as well as a T20I match against the Pakistan team.
Mitchell Marsh, the all-rounder, will not participate in the T20I series against the Sri Lanka either. Whereas, A Finch will continue to be a part of the Australian side in the five-match series.
