Al Janoub Stadium, one of the eight venues for the Qatar World Cup, is in Al Wakrah, a coastal city 23 kilometres south of Doha, and is connected to the capital by the Red Line of the new Doha Metro system. The stadium will host group and quarterfinal matches of the tournament.
