     LKK accomplished it. Their captain made a timely delivery. They were in need of a victory, and their captain came through when it mattered most. 

     Defending 177 was always a solid idea, but Sanjay Kumar's brilliant innings in the dying stages nearly gave his team the victory, but they fell short by 5 runs.  

      LKK improved to 8 points and qualified for the top four thanks to the victory. Nellai, meanwhile, has won six games in a row; this is her first loss.
