Indian Super League: NorthEast United and Mumbai City share the honours in their exciting match
Deshorn Brown's strong hat-trick ensured Mumbai City FC remained winless after two matches, as the defending champions were held to a 3-3 draw by NorthEast United FC in a high-octane Hero ISL encounter on Monday
In a match that fluctuated from start to finish, Brown scored in the 29th, 56th, and 80th minutes, with Igor Angulo (33rd, 52nd) and Bipin Singh (40th) scoring either side of his triple.
Mumbai now remains at the top the table with 16 points after 8 games, however they have drawn following their 0-3 loss to Kerala Blasters. With 8 points from 9 games, NorthEast United is still on the ninth place.
The first exchanges were dominated by Mumbai, with Cassio Gabriel and Jahouh tweaking in the middle of the park. When Mohammad Nawaz pushed over a dangerous Mathias Coureur header in the first quarter of the half, he didn't have to warm up his gloves.
