Australia's Major Win in ICC Women's T20 World Cup

Australia claimed their second consecutive victory in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup as they defeated New Zealand by a remarkable 60-run margin. Despite experiencing a period of instability during their batting innings, the team rallied to secure their 13th successive win in T20 World Cups.

Australia's batting innings began strongly but was interrupted as they lost six wickets for just 29 runs in the latter part of the game. This was largely due to spinner Amelia Kerr's impressive performance, who finished with figures of 4 for 26. She contributed to the dismissal of the dangerous-looking Ellyse Perry, and Grace Harris.

Despite adversity in their innings, Australia managed to score 148, only the second time a team batting first in this World Cup has reached over 125. Despite a 47-run partnership between Suzie Bates and Amelia Kerr, the pressure of limited boundaries resulting in the partnership eventually collapsing, leading to Australia's victory.
