Notable Absentees in Sri Lanka Squad for Asia Cup Due to Injuries
Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmantha Chameera, Lahiru Kumara, and Dilshan Madhushanka will be missing from the Sri Lanka squad for the Asia Cup due to injuries.
The 15-man squad includes Kusal Perera, who is recovering from a COVID-19 infection and is expected to join the team once fully recovered. Pramod Madushan and Binura Fernando have been included in the squad as replacements for the injured fast bowlers.
Dushan Hemantha replaces Hasaranga, while Kasun Rajitha, Matheesha Pathirana, Maheesh Theekshana, and Dunith Wellalage provide additional bowling options. Sri Lanka will play their opening match against Bangladesh on August 31 before facing Afghanistan on September 5.
