Match Review

     On Sunday, April 16, at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals played in the 23rd match of the Indian Premier League 2023.

     Samson scored 60 runs in just 32 balls to put RR back in the hunt. He initially put up a 59-run stand with Shimron Hetmyer for the fifth wicket in just 27 balls after putting up a 43-run partnership for the third wicket with Devdutt Padikkal in just 34 balls. As Samson was bowled by Afghanistan-born Noor Ahmad, a debutant spinner for GT, Hetmyer kept RR's pursuit going.  

     With some assistance from batsmen like Ravichandran Ashwin, who scored 10 runs off two balls, he managed to finish undefeated on 56 off 26. Hetmyer gave RR the victory with a six off the second ball of the final over. With David Miller's late charge, they had earlier held GT to 177/7.
