Match Review 

     On Tuesday, November 29, at the Khalifa International Stadium, Senegal and Ecuador played in the 34th match of the FIFA World Cup, 2022.

     Senegal had been frustrating Ecuador for a significant portion of the first half because they knew they needed to win to advance. However, Senegal was given a penalty late in the game after Piero Reyna fouled Ismaila Sarr. Senegal took the lead at halftime when the Watford winger calmly tucked away his penalty kick.

     All game long, the South Americans battled offensively, but Moisés Caicedo managed to score an equaliser. They would have advanced with a draw, but Kalidou Koulibaly's goal gave Senegal the advantage after just 150 seconds, ending their hopes. 

     After six tense minutes of stoppage time, Ecuador was unable to generate another significant opportunity, and the game finished 1-2.
