Match Review

On Sunday, October 30, at the Perth Stadium,  Perth, India and South Africa played in the 30th match of the Super 12, T20 World Cup, 2022.

David Miller led South Africa to victory as they pursued a goal of 134 by finishing unbeaten on 59 off 46 balls. India's batting debut suffered greatly as a result of Lungi Ngidi's devastating four-wicket haul and the efforts of the other South African pacers.

However, Suryakumar Yadav virtually single-handedly propelled India to 133/9 with his 68 off 40 balls. Arshdeep Singh, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Mohammed Shami then came out strong for India, keeping South Africa under pressure. After the powerplay, though, Aiden Markram and Miller stopped the wickets from falling. After the first 10 overs, the pair changed tactics, and Markram finally was out for 52 off 41 balls. With two balls remaining, Miller helped South Africa cross the finish line.
